The Horspath 13s development side returned from their trip to East Hendred with the points in the bag after a tightly contested game tonight. Batting first, Horspath scored 237, conceding 7 wickets along the way. Joe Gibbs's batting caught the eye with a number of purposeful and firmly struck shots. Defending a relatively small total was not going to be easy but credit to the Horspath youngsters as every player bowled tightly to close out the game. Joe Gibbs was in the thick of the action with a creditable 1-8 from his 3 overs and Wahab bowled well to collect 2 wickets for just 8 runs from his spell. The team fielded well as a unit and collected a number of impressive run-outs to contribute to the 12 run victory as Hendred finished on 225.
