Horspath 3rd's batsmen shone in a run feast to maintain their promotion push in Division 5
with a 70-run victory at Didcot 2nd. Opener James Earnshaw (73) led the way as Horspath racked up an impressive 301-6 dec after being put in to bat. Chris Jones weighed in with 63 and Graham Beer made 32, before Ceri Holmes (46no) and Dan Jones (37no) flayed the toiling Didcot attack to all parts of the ground.

Horspath then took early wickets, including two run outs, before they met resistance from Didcot skipper Ross Fryatt (56) and Sean Winton (32). Tailenders Robert Green (60) and Kunal Patel (54no) also kept Horspath at bay until the hosts finally succumbed for 231, with skipper Robin Pykett (2-51) taking late wickets after Holmes had picked up 2-33.

David Wells hit an unbeaten half-century as Horspath 4th cruised to a nine-wicket home win over Long Marston 3rd in Division 7. Chasing Didcot's 135 all out after the visitors had been put in to bat, Wells made 59 not out and Derek Watts (46) as Horspath coasted to 136-1 off 37.2 overs.

Young Jamie Hicks had earlier finished with the notable figures of 3-0 in Didcot's innings to help give acting skipper Hayden Moon a win on his first experience of captaincy in the league.
