HORSPATH are set to bring the curtain down on the 2021 season with two big days at the Recreation Ground. The club's youngsters defend the Honey-'B' Trophy in the Oxfordshire Under 19 Cup Finals Day on Sunday - and then Horspath face the President's XI in the annual Feast match on Monday (11.15am). Horspath were crowned 2020 Oxon Under 19s champions just two weeks ago with a thrilling one-wicket win off the last ball against Aston Rowant in the much-delayed final. Now they take on Banbury in the 2021 semi-finals at 11am, while Hook Norton face Cumnor, with the final in the afternoon. Horspath reached this year's finals day by topping Pool 2 with Cumnor runners-up, while Banbury were second in Pool 1 won by Hook Norton. Meanwhile, the club are delighted that the Horspath Feast match - widely regarded as the social highlight of the Oxfordshire cricket calendar - is back. The traditional end-of-season fixture was cancelled last year after the Government banned social gatherings of more than six people as part of restrictions to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
