Bob Walker

It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing away of Bob Walker, the President of the Club from 1984 until ill health forced him to step down from the post this year. The Club has been most indebted to him over that long period of time for both his unfailing support and generosity. Previous to that he had a long and loyal association with the Horspath Village cricket and football teams as an enthusiastic player. Always welcoming and friendly, to both old and new members, his good humour set the tone for the Club and played a large part in helping establish the Club into the enviable position it currently holds. He will be sorely missed by the many who had the good fortune to know him. Our thoughts at this time are with Muriel, Judy, Dennis and their families
