YOUNGSTERS Luke Heritage and Harvey Shorter shared a terrific sixth-wicket partnership to salvage a draw for Horspath 4th at home to Bicester & North Oxford 2nd in Cherwell League Division 7. Facing Bicester's daunting total of 272-4 after putting the visitors in to bat, Horspath slumped to 40-5. But then 13-year-old Heritage, who hit a maiden league half-century with 57, and Shorter, who has just turned 14, made an unbeaten 41 as the pair batted for 24 overs to put on 71 for the sixth wicket. It helped see Horspath to safety at 117-6. Earlier, Warwick Bradfield (86no) and Ben Clark (74no) had shared an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 160 in Bicester's innings after Adam Gould hit 60.
